The room was nice, unfortunately the service was very below average. The glass coffee table in our room broke when we put a plate on it. We told them about it, and felt that due to it breaking when we simply placed a plate on it meant that there must have been some previous damage, or perhaps the glass was not sitting flat, we didn't feel it was our fault at all. The plate didnt break, the glass just snapped in half. I told them that we weren't comfortable paying for this, that if we had broken the table due to being careless or using extreme force then of course we would accept responsibility but in this instance we felt the responsibility to get it fixed was theirs. Four days later, they charged my partners card almost $200. Not only was it unacceptable for a charge to be made without our authorisation, but my partners card was not even the one that we used to book and pay, nor was it the card we used as security. So not only has Salerno taken a payment without our approval, they've somehow managed to get my partners card details too. The only time his card was used during the stay was when we paid $10 by EFTPOS for an extra room key. Salerno should not be holding card details without permission or taking payments while a dispute is still in process.

Hi KateWe asked for a card for security when you check in. And you gave us a card which is not working. Then around 10 pm on the same day night, you called us said you left the room key in a Uber and you will be back later to get another key. When you came back around 11pm, we requested to do a PRE-AUTH of 10 as the bond just incase if there is any damage or anything happens. We explained to you as long as the key is returned and no damage we will cancel the pre-auth. Pre-auth is not EFTPOS payment. Then you provided us another card and finished the pre-auth by yourself and this was the card we took payment to cover the damage you have made. On the second day morning when you check out, you first said you will buy us a coffee table then you change mind. You said you will get some other quote for replacing the glass top as you are not happy with the quote from the glazing man we found. You asked us to send you the quote and you said you will find someone as well. We have emailed you the quote we get from the glazing man on the same day and we have explained to you that we need to get the coffee table fixed soon as we have other bookings. There is no reply for 4 days. We called you many times and also no answering. We clean and check the coffee table everytime when we clean the unit. There is no damage before you check in. We found a lot of empty alcohol bottles in the unit. We don't think the plate will damage the coffee table. We will wait the dispute result.

We stay here most trips to chch. Handy central location, nice tidy warm and modern rooms. Sometimes the lady at front desk can be not overly friendly but the lady that was on this weekend was amazing. Very friendly and helpful

Awesome place to stay! Very central, good parking right outside the door, comfortable beds and plenty of room. The container of wash powder was a great idea and the kitchen was fully stocked. Was home away from home!

This was an awesome Motel with a cafe with excellent coffee and breakfast just a 30 second walk away, named Affogato. The motel was ashort walk into town so great access and no parking concerns, leaving our car parked at the motel. We arrived on a late flight and the motel room had been warmed for us with curtains pulled and lights on,which was so much appreciated !
