They have all good labeled but had a chicken dish that said chicken and fruit. Come to find out it had Brazil nuts in it. As my son was taking his first bite of chicken ( it was in his mouth). The staff ran out with a fresh piece of chicken and told him it had Brazil nuts in it. When we questioned the GM she said that Brazil nuts are not tree nuts which they are in fact....

IKAM Riverview Amazon Lodge - Asociado Casa Andina

"Pros: the grounds were beautiful, comfy bed, AC. Cons: no services nearby, must take a taxi into town to get anywhere. Pricing of meals and activities not inclusive so you pay a lot at check out. There is nowhere else to eat so you have to eat there. The dinners were great, free breakfast was not too good and the same everyday. Activities were very limited. The best was Lake Sandoval, it was so beautiful. The manager was nice and helped me out a lot. Lots of wildlife on property. We saw a ton of birds and even some monkeys."

The resort has an activity where you crack open the Brazil nuts from the on property Brazil nut trees. We immediately gave our son Benadryl so he was okay thankfully but we did bit appreciate the gms lane lie. Please be aware and very clear if any allergies. We thought we had been. It was very scary and upsetting for us all."

"It is a family run business ,they helped us in everything we asked for with a smile on there face .Their home cooked meals were delicious, beautiful property they showed us around . They even let my 2 boys fish their pond and provided bait . It was a great experience ,and for the money you can't beat it."

"This hotel lists their location as downtown Puerto Maldonado. Actual location is 20+ minutes outside the town on a dirt road. Impossible to get taxi service to town. The additional trips for food for our Amazon excursions cost 60 soles each way. Driver said price is higher since you have long trip just to pickup client. Resort wanted to charge me for Dinner and Breakfast when my reservation stated both were included. Staff at resort were nice and understood our frustration with situation. When originally checking in they did not know we were coming and had to contact someone to determine if we could have a room. If you want an Amazon adventure they are probably a good place to visit, but for an overnight stay, double check the location of the actual property."

"It's a great place to stay before or especially after a few day trip to Amazon. The room we had (a private) was great, with comfy beds and nice warm shower. The facilities are simply great. There's a great patio, lots of nice places to chill out and the pool is simply great addition. The staff was also very helpful and friendly."
