Depending on where you’re coming from, your flight to Amos could be a breeze or it could drag on forever. We’ve compiled some useful tips that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you’ve got all the right gear. Firstly, you’ll want a few basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, leave space in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to feel as comfortable as possible. Dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and remember to bring a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin. Opt for a pair of flat, well-fitting shoes as your feet may swell a little during the flight. Leave the stilettos and heavy hiking boots in your main luggage.
- A serious condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It’s the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity. Walking around the cabin and doing regular leg and foot exercises in your seat helps to prevent this developing. Wearing a quality pair of compression socks may also help.
