"Very nice property and friendly staff"

"DO NOT STAY HERE! Walking into the water at the beach, you will step into a large band of sludge. When the sludge gets stirred up, you will get inundated with the smell of sewage. I talked to several guests who all said the same thing. When the catamarans at the pier start their motors and stir up the water...pure sewage!! You will never see more than 50 people in the water at a complex that holds 1000. We have stayed at many resorts, and the Holiday Inn is a hotel, not a resort. There is no swim up bar or any bar dedicated to pool patrons alone, nor is there any poolside service. The 2 "bars" you have to go get your own drinks at are also restaurants, so the wait is timely. In addition, even as a guest using the all-inclusive option, you must sign for every drink and meal, even while wearing a wristband showing you are AI. Drinks are watered down and are served in small paper cups. The restaurants onsite are average at best and VERY expensive. We ate across the street at finer establishments even though we were AI. Hot tubs on the property do not work, it's just hot water, no jets.There is zero entertainment at night except for 1 guy in the lobby. They hotel has no activity co-ordinator, so nothing happens during the day either. Getting beach towels is a joke as well. The main hut opens at 730am and the second one at 9am. They make no exceptions and you can't swap out your wet towels later in the day because they don't have any dry ones. Some gym equipment is broken."

"Room was great and bigger than expected. Pool areas were amazing especially the adult only infinity pool with ocean views. Only downfall was beach area was limited but we made do!"

"The pool was very enjoyable. It has two hot tubs and the staff has entertainment during the day. The swim up bar is excellent. The bartenders work very hard and are quick with your drink. The resort is very clean and the staff is so helpful Cannot wait to go back. "

"Booked well in advance but gave away our room and expected my 17 yr old daughter to sleep in a couch bed for $800+ per night. Gave us the room the next day. No mention of booking palapas in advance until you get there, and clearly not enough for everyone. Only way to guarantee one was to pay $30 Per day. Overworked wait staff on the beach. Very crowded Beach. Not enough seating in the lounge to enjoy a cocktail at the end of the day. Won’t be returning"

"Overall it was a great hotel, very clean and friendly stuff. However, food was tasteless and they were charging extra for their sunbeds and their papalas in their own beach which was a turn off. "
