Apparthotel dans les champs

Super endroit pour être au calme. Très belle piscine avec une superbe vue sur la campagne toscane. Un parc aménagé parmi les oliviers avec un petit étang. Les chiens sont les bienvenus. Sur place petit déjeuner buffet pour 10 euros , non testé, et diner, un peu rustique à notre goût. Notre appartement, décor rustique, était à l'étage sans terrasse ou balcon pour pouvoir manger à l'extérieur, c'était bien dommage car c'était le seul appartement sans accès extérieur pour profiter du calme de la campagne. Surtout en été. Sinon tout le confort était présent, la clim fonctionnait bien. Je le recommande pour sa situation et son calme environnant.

Very 'Mice'

We arrived at Podere Benintendi and were very happy, at first, with what we found. It would've been nice however, to be greeted with some sort if welcome or information or anything really... Located at the top of a hill overlooking Certalde and in the distance, the San Gimignano skyline. Close enough to the local supermarket to take full advantage of the self catering aspect of the accommodation - or so we thought. Upon putting our baby to bed, we notched the headboard was covering in what we put down to 'gecko poo' - until later we learned the apartment was infested with mice. We understand it's the countryside and what not, but, at £100 a night, we do not expect to be met with a 'what do you expect' and 'here's a mouse trap' attitude. It was gone 10pm when we noticed that the kitchen was also covered in mouse poo, and that all our shopping that wasn't stored in the fridge had been eaten by the said mice, along with all of the Italian goodies we had collected along our travels - all in the bin. The time also meant we couldn't look for anywhere else to stay and so were met with the snapping of mouse traps all night and greeted by a load of dead mice to dispose of on the morning. It's such a shame as this accommodation had everything we were looking for, bright 'clean' and spacious apartments with the most beautiful pool and views. So we paid for - reluctantly - one night and were forced to throw €100 euro of shopping away that we couldn't take with us because it wouldn't keep (fresh meats we had bought to BBQ and the stuff the mice had nibbled) and were left with nowhere to stay and hugely out of pocket. Gutted.

Good views of countryside nice and relaxing

This B&B is on top of a hill over looking countryside and the old town which you reach on a ski lift! This is a quiet family run business and they are very helpful,there is a swimming pool with a gym every facility you need including a well stocked fridge with wines and beer, help yourself and just enter it into the book pay when you leave. The only down side lots of steps if you are not so agile.

Picturesque Tuscany Dream to Watch the World go by

This villa- bed and breakfast is exceptional. The property is more stunning than the pictures. It truly is a home away from home. We found it very peaceful after visiting the bigger cities. The entire staff offers exceptional service. They truly went out of their way to make our stay a splendid and memorable experience. Rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. Gourmet kitchen for cooking! The breakfast and dining area overlooking the Tuscany hills is worth the stay! The homemade foods, bakeries,jams and local fruits were delicious and accompanied by coffee made to your personal preference. Also, a well stocked selection of local wines for evenings in. We appreciated green living with recyling for everything. Take time to visit old Certaldo. You will have a wonderful experience without the crowds! We loved our time here and hope to return.
