Lovely location and excellent room. Evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. Check-in time was confusing. In practice it is 5.30. We arrived at 4pm and no one was around.

What a great very reasonably priced hotel which was perfect for us travelling from Tossa de Mar to Calais, it was just about halfway and right off the motorway. Check in was very quick with a very helpful member of staff. Room was large and clean. Everything you need for a nights stay. Had a great nights sleep in comfy beds. A very convenient restaurant bar/grill right across the road and a pub a little further along. We would definitely recommend and glad we found it for future trips.

Ma fille et moi-même venons de passer une nuit dans ce fabuleux hôtel. Le cadre est splendide, très somptueux et bien décoré aussi bien à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. Le jardin est magnifique et la piscine un plus bien appréciable en ces jours de canicule. Notre chambre était parfaite. Le personnel accueillant, agréable et à l'écoute (à l'accueil comme au service). Le gérant a également passé du temps pour discuter avec nous de la ville et alentours. A charming place in peaceful surroundings! Lovely dinner prepared by the host as well!!

The Chateau is full of character and history, and also someone’s home. We were made very welcome on arrival and the highlight was the delicious fine dining meal which was lovingly cooked and described by Irina. The inclusive breakfast was also welcome.

Well presented room, in a quirky building that was slightly difficult to find as the name board has fallen down at some time and not been put back up. Would consider using again, but might look for options slight closer to the centre of Montlucon. We were only staying for one night on our way south through France. Staff friendly, continental breakfast ok and parking on site.
