Ils le transformèrent en une demeure de style Renaissance En 1857 Jean-Baptiste de la Motte Saint Pierre, arrière grand père de l'actuelle propriétaire, acheta le château. La famille fit des travaux extérieurs (fin XIXème) et intérieur (1920) afin de redonner à Montpoupon l'aspect Renaissance qu'il présente aujourd'hui. Antoine de Prie and his wife, Madeleine d'Amboise, the castle rebuilt it in 1460.They turned it into a Renaissance-style mansion In 1857 John Baptist de la Motte St. Pierre, great grandfather of the current owner,bought the castle. The family was outside work (end of XIX) and interior (1920) to give back to Renaissance Montpoupon appearance it has today.
