"The view of Cerro San Cristobal was beautiful from my giant windows. I really liked the location, proximity to metro stations, shopping nearby, convenience stores and several cafe/food options on the same street. Good size room for a short stay where I didn't need to unpack much, but if I needed more room for my luggage I would have felt a bit snug. The staff was english/spanish bilingual which was perfect for me. They were super helpful whenever I needed something sent to my room. My only complaint was a consistent weird smell in the washroom."
"Loved the duplex distribution. A chair is needed in the bedroom, upstairs. Nice and quiet. Good location. Although the place is in the downtown area, there is no problem arriving or moving around. Next to the beautiful Santa Lucía hill. Anything needed is just a few steps away.
Highly recommended."
"My friend and I stayed at the hotel for 1 night. The hotel is nicely decorated and felt modern. Everything was clean, the rooms are relatively large with a desk, security box, and fit two twin beds comfortably. The bed was about medium firmness and not springy. All the hotel staff are friendly and professional. Breakfast was pretty standard, but well executed. Getting into the hotel is a little confusing as it is only on the 3rd floor and up of the building. You’ll need to enter past a white metal fence or through a glass entrance to make your way to the elevator. There isn’t signage that will say “Hotel HW - Libertad”, but if you look up you’ll see nice patios. The area around the hotel is sketchy, so exercise caution at night. During the day, it is fine. Overall, such great value!"
City Express by Marriott Santiago Aeropuerto Chile
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel is a gem for a late flight out of Santiago. With breakfast running till 10:30AM and check out of 1PM, plus a well-equipped business center and a cafe, it was easy to pass the time productively while we waited for our time to go to the airport. Credit to consideration for international travelers; both in the room and in the business center, the outlets for the US/EUR plugs were available so we didn't need to use a converter.
Airport shuttles seem to operate 24/7. We got lucky with our pickup because someone must have called it. It was simple to follow the instructions, received a few days in advance, to find the meet up location and we would have followed the instructions to call for one, too.
Breakfast satisfying (bread, eggs, rice, cereal, bread products, juices, fresh fruits, coffee/tea). Amenities thoughtful. No fridge/microwave in the room, but to store my medication they offered their restaurant fridge. Shower pressure and temperature both satisfactory.
The view from the window left much, much to be desired however. We had a "city view" and what we saw was basically the content of a dumpster spread all over - PET bottles, papers, construction materials and whatnot. Perhaps that isn't the hotel's property, but it really was a single sore spot of the whole stay that I had to mention, in case the hoteliers aren't aware of it."
