"We felt well cared for while spending two nights at La Bonne Auberge with our German Shepard. Emmanuel, the host, had a dog bed, water dish and disposable bags in the room on our arrival. The room was nicely appointed with a very comfortable bed and nice linens. The view from the terrace was spectacular, especially at night. The power was out on the rainy day we visited this fantastic chateau, which just added to the atmosphere. As we waited outside in the rain a lovely old man came to chat to us (in French). He turned out to be the owner, a descendant of the powerful counts who used its crucial position on the Lot River to protect their interests.
