Cava de' Tirreni Trip

The room was very well priced, though outdated. It was clean and most importantly, the AC worked very well. The property is conveniently located by a less crowded gate to an entrance of the Pompeii archeological park and within walking distance to an active square and many restaurants. Around the corner from the entrance was a restaurant with 5Euro aperol spritzes and very reasonably priced pizzas. As it was so so hot when we visited, shorter walking distances were necessary and this hotel fit the bill. We found the city itself to be less friendly than the bigger cities we visited in Italy, as we received a lot of stares just walking down the street, but the hotel and the restaurants we visited were staffed by friendly and helpful people. There is a continental breakfast offered as part of the stay as well. The property is old and doesn't have any amenities to speak of, but it was perfect for our family in need of three beds for 4 people in a quick overnight between Rome and Positano. The AC actually worked very well which was unique for Italy and a life saver in the August heat and I would recommend for this reason.

The shower drain was clogged when we arrived, and the next day the sink drain was clogged as well. Super friendly and helpful staff. Nice location, and great views from the roof terrace.

The location of the property is ideal to explore Pompeii, right at the beginning of the main road where all the restaurants and amenities can be found, however inside it was really quiet and calm, the garden was the perfect place to relax and unwind after walking around the area, not to mention the great food we enjoyed in this area when we dined in the hotel. The amenities in the room were great, the cleanliness second to none, the staff friendliness was the most outstanding fact we encounter. Michelle and Ludmila in the restaurant, Luigi and all the reception team were very attentive and willing to go the extra mile for any request we had. Thoroughly enjoyed stay and will come back to this place without thinking twice. We found the perfect place in Pompeii for our next holiday, we felt well looked after and secure in this beautiful family run Hotel.

We came for our honeymoon and had a pleasant stay here. The room was clean and the AC worked great - wish there was a kettle in the room though. The hotel itself has a lot of history and charm, we had a great time exploring. The pool was incredible, very peaceful and scenic with great views of the city and Vesuvius. It’s nice that the hotel is above the hustle and bustle of the city but we discovered the walk there was a strain, we got Ubers that were about €10 which was okay. There isn’t a lot of shops or places to eat in the immediate area. Reception staff were happy and friendly. Breakfast had some nice breads and sweets but the cooked options were limited, we didn’t realise until the last day that you could order specific things. The rooftop restaurant and bar is a lovely way to end the day, seeing the landscapes and the lights of Italy. We loved Lizzie the cat by the pool too.
