" We stayed at Ballena Rey Hotel from December 14–18 in Unit 9 while traveling from Canada to do some scuba diving in Uvita, and we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Housekeeping came every day to clean the room and provide fresh towels, which we really appreciated after long days of diving. The hotel is located in a safe and quiet neighbourhood. The property itself has a peaceful atmosphere and was never noisy. Our unit was on the ground floor beside the pool and restaurant area, but noise was never an issue. By the time we went to bed around 9 p.m., everything was calm and quiet. The bed and pillows were also very comfortable to sleep in which makes a huge difference. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The daytime manager at the front desk (we unfortunately can’t remember his name) truly stood out. He went above and beyond to help us with any requests, always greeted us with a warm smile, and genuinely cared about how our day was going. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Uvita! "

"We loved it here!! The sunsets were absolutely stunning. The owner was super nice and if we had any questions or needed anything a staff member was there quickly to help. The villa had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We rented a 2x4 car and was able to get there, you just have to give it some gas in a couple of places. Highly recommend staying here. "

"We loved everything about the property. Joe and Keith were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome in their beautiful slice of paradise. There are 4 separate lodges each very well appointed with wonderful views over the Uvita landscape. Natures edge is set high up on the hillside in a secluded spot surrounded by lots of flora and fauna. We saw lots of bird life and were woken by howler monkeys! The lodge had a small useful kitchenette with full cooking facilities available at the pool. Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked and served around the pool each morning. The one morning we had an early excursion Joe brought us the most delicious banana bread and fruit smoothie to take with us. We would highly recommend Natures Edge to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. Thank you Joe and Keith for all your hospitality, it was lovely to meet you both."
