We stay at the Hume every-time we come to Nelson- it’s central to most things and an easy walk to shopping and restaurants. But the real reason we stay here is the hotel- historic in nature and everything about it is exceptional- staff, cleanliness, everything. Highly recommend!

Excellent location, great room, comfy bed, helpful staff, incredible eating options right in the hotel. I will definitely stay here again when next in Nelson. For traveller info, there is no parking at the hotel but there is a parade next door. Easy to pay online and it is inexpensive. All 3 restaurants on site are fantastic. You can walk anywhere from this hotel. Hallway noise can be an issue due to the age of the hotel so pack earplugs if you are sensitive to sound.

Our stay at the Hume hotel was absolutely lovely. The staff were so welcoming, kind and sincere. The location was perfect with easy access to the waterfront, dog park and shops. We had our pup along and the staff went out of their way to spoil him. We had dinner in the Library restaurant at the hotel- the meal was delicious, and the ambiance was fantastic. We really loved our time here!

Having myself worked in the Hospitaity Industry for many years, it was refreshing to be served with great customer service. Unfortunately, our first night was not restful as the bed sagged so much I couldn't get comfortable. We spoke to the front desk first thing in the morning and, although they were already fully booked, they shuffled the rooms to put us in one with a better bed. I slept well that night!
