Thanks for your review. The cabins were built over 100 years ago at a time when people didn't expect as much space as we do now. We do send warnings to all our guests about the road noise. There would have been 3 messages sent to you in advance of your arrival. Still, your cabin was further back than some of the other ones. Our prices are quite a bit lower than the other resorts in the area, and while they won't have the noise from the vehicles, they do get trains passing by quite close. When booking on any of the sites it's quite clear that we are 1/2 way between Banff and Lake Louise... I suppose we are a more appropriate choice for those wanting to have quick access to some of the amazing trails near by or to get away from the crowds and traffic of the towns, which can be quite terrible through-out the day.

We would love to be able to move the cabins back a 100m into the woods... There are a couple of cabins a bit too close to the highway. I'm glad you were able to enjoy your stay with us despite the noise from the road.

Thanks for pointing out the lamps. Housekeeping failed to report the issue of the lamps in your cabin to maintenance. We are constantly doing upgrades to the property since we took it over 2 years ago. It's been quite a big project. As for the the money charged, this reflects the input costs of generating our electricity, the rising cost of propane, increasing wages, insurance going from 20k to over 50k, rising lease payments and property taxes paid to Parks Canada.... In 2 years our costs have more than doubled, but we have managed to keep our cabin cost increases to around 15%.

Thanks for the review. We keep 70% of our cabins as pet friendly. The other 30 are hypoallergenic. As for the prices in our restaurant, you will find them to be comparable, if not a little lower than restaurants in Banff. The costs of ingredients, wages and transportation have had a major impact on pricing and the profit margin is extremely thin.

We do mention on our website and booking confirmations about traffic for people with noise sensitivities. Unfortunately it was much worse than normal during your stay as there was a fatal accident on the Trans-Canada which re-routed all the traffic to Hwy 93 for 2 days.
