It is smack-dab in the middle of the old town of Castellaneta and it is extremely convenient for visiting the Rudolph Valentino museum. (The museum itself offers a fascinating story of one of the first true movie stars and is highly recommended.) "The hotel was quite a disappointment. We were there as a couple and had booked all-inclusive.
However, at check-in we had to pay over €150 extra for a club membership, which we didn't know what it was for.
Included in the all inclusive package was the food, which was more or less the same every day and only water and wine from a tap to drink. We drank from plastic glasses.
Every other drink, such as cola, had to be paid for separately with a card at 3.50 per can.
I have never experienced...

"We had a wonderful time and the service was outstanding. The grounds are beautiful and the beach is stunning. The only issue we had was the condition of the beach chairs. It was surprising that they were in such poor condition. The back rests were not stable and my husband got his finger caught in the hinge when he sat down and the back folded back unintentionally. He required 5 stiches and had a very long stay at the local hospital. The assistant director was wonderful and very helpful...
