Spacious room and comfortable bed but the end tables should have been cleaned, although the bathroom was well done. Overall, good accommodations."

"The Costa Rica Marriott Hotel Hacienda Belén is the place to be if you need to stay in San José for one or two days. First of all, the building itself is stunning, and the surrounding gardens are beautifully maintained. It feels like a peaceful oasis and offers a striking contrast to the rest of San José, while still being conveniently close to the airport. The rooms are slightly noisy, but the staff more than make up for it—they are exceptionally friendly, attentive, and service-oriented. The gym is excellent. We were hoping to play pickleball, but unfortunately there was no net available. The swimming pools are a very welcome addition and add to the relaxed, resort-like atmosphere. For lunch and dinner, the restaurants La Castilla, La Isabela, and Bar 10 are all highly recommended. For breakfast, I would skip the relatively expensive buffet and instead go to Casa del Café, where you can enjoy a delicious à la carte breakfast along with excellent coffee and pastries. In terms of price, it was comparable to an airport hotel, but the experience felt much more like a mini vacation."

"Un très bon rapport qualité prix pour un hébergement à quelques minutes (environ 10 minutes) de l’aéroport. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et accommodants. Le seul bémol que nous pouvons apporter est le bruit ambiant des environs. Les bruits d’avions, autos, motos, camions et trains à proximité sont assez présents et peuvent rendre le sommeil difficile même avec des bouchons d’oreille. Si ce facteur n’est pas en enjeu, l’endroit est très bien!"

"Great airport stopover in San Jose, especially if you arrive late and have a longer drive ahead. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very helpful. I would definitely stay here again."
