With the continued impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak, travelling today comes with more challenges than usual. Take note of these handy tips before hopping on your plane to Casamance:

• Before committing to anything, check if any travel restrictions apply — in both your origin and destination. Get up-to-date information by reviewing government and travel websites.
• You're required to wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at security checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask for ID purposes when asked.
• Rather than handing a TSA officer your boarding pass, position it directly on the reader yourself. When that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• One liquid hand sanitizer container is now allowed in your carry-on baggage. It must be no bigger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll need to remove it from your bag for X-ray scanning.

• Transport all food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Keeping food separate from your carry-on means it's less likely a TSA agent will need to open your bag for inspection.
