Oscoda Lakeside Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Got a King Suite with jetted tub, ended up in the room right up above the lobby/front desk. Biggest issue was that the sign and parking lot lights were shining all night right in the room, and there are no curtains on the windows. There are blinds, but they did very little to keep the light out - it was like daylight in the room all night long, making it nearly impossible to sleep. They could definitely invest in some blackout curtains for that room."
"We stayed at multiple Wyndham's hotels during our week visit through the area. This hotel had a well-cleaned room, yet the room had a slight musty smell. It was evident that those cleaning the room likely took pride in their work. On the other hand, the halls were smelly. The pool was nice, but the hot tub was not heated. There was no exercise room. The continental breakfast was fine, for the price. I didn't expect much. Overall, for the price, I suppose they did fine."
"Property was welcoming to dogs but there wasn’t a way to get pre-authorization - although they requested it- even though I didn’t get that information until I checked in.
There were no blankets! There was a light cover and a sheet on the bed. No blankets in the closet just one extra pillow. Also no Kleenex.
Please was clean. Lovely view and nice beach frontage. Unfortunately the property owner decided to blow the leaves from the property. Then crews came to work on the property -backhoe, dump truck- loud. When I took the dog for a walk the crew was smoking pot. This was supposed to be a time away for me in the off quiet off season to get some work done. The dog got so worked up because he could hear stuff that we had to leave. Also, the management knew a crew would be there doing work and they still asked if I wanted to extend my stay! I would have been so mad if I said yes and paid, and then had to listen to and watch the work being done! I am sure they are getting ready for the busy season but it was disappointing."
"View is incredible from cabin 14 (the whole property, really). Had everything we could need. The beach is very nice. Our cabin was clean and clutter free. The property has a nice vibe. I/we would absolutely stay there again."
