Learn more about Careggine

Medieval stone buildings rise dramatically from the Apuan Alps, where you can explore Careggine's 12th-century San Pietro church and ancient defensive walls. Hike nearby trails for panoramic views, then visit the 'ghost village' of Fabbriche di Careggine that emerges when Lake Vagli's waters recede.

10/10 Excellent

Valentina and Pietro were both amazing. Property location was perfect. Clean, different and facilities were excellent. Loved the fact that Valentina kept in touch all through our stay and sent helpful guides and map to us. Also lovely pictures of Lucca. We will return.
