"This property let us book a room at 7pm and although clearly on their site it states check in is available until midnight, at 9:20 we arrived to a dark abandoned house. We tried reaching the manager via what’s app and after an hour he finally answered and told us to “find another place to stay, he’s closed”. The biggest issue was that this is not a 2 bedroom apartment, it is a small 1 bedroom apartment with a double bed. When searching I had even used Expedia's filter function to only include 2 bedroom apartments. The people who it belonged to were a charming couple who went out of their way to help us. "From September 5th to 15th we vacationed in Croatia—specifically in the town of Podgora—at the lovely Hotel Medora. Our daughter, who lives in California, booked this trip for us. We would like to express our gratitude and warm appreciation to the hotel staff for their care and assistance—especially Zlatan for helping us resolve issues with our car; the reception team for being so attentive and polite regarding our requests; the housekeeping staff for keeping our room spotless; and the restaurant team—the head chef, waiters, and manager—for the incredibly delicious and varied food (hot dishes, cold options, and salads). The desserts were true works of art—everything was incredibly tasty and wholesome. This was our first time vacationing on the Makarska Riviera; The beach was wonderful, featuring crystal-clear seawater, stunning scenery, and excellent, clean facilities. We wish Hotel Medora continued prosperity and business success. "The views at Villa Antonio were spectacular and the grounds were beautiful. The breakfast was just as good as we'd heard, but in addition we also really enjoyed the dinner very much. Everyone was helpful and very kind. The room itself was difficult to keep cool because the AC was not very strong, the wifi was spotty (at best), and the towels were scratchy, but the location and views made up for those minor discomforts."

"Well located hotel; short walk to Old Town, restaurants and shops. It's an old hotel but quite typical for the area and island. Staff were helpful; breakfast buffet was not that great compared to other hotels on our trip. The hotel was very kind to allow us the use of the pool & showers after check out while we waited for our late afternoon ferry. We would recommend this hotel for a visit to Korcula."

"This was a nice option if you are looking for a more budget-friendly hotel. Certainly not fancy but decent for the price and good for families with young kids (there is a playground in front of the hotel that even has a small enclosed trampoline park for a small fee). It is more dated for sure than the other places we stayed on our trip, the breakfast was decent but not over the top and we didn't eat any other meals on site. We didn't make it to any since our stay was short, but there are a lot of wineries nearby including some within reasonable walking distance. We liked the location, there are some nice spots and a lovely beach bar that seemed to be a place a lot of locals go. If you wanted to spend most of your time in Korcula Old Town you have to take a taxi or water taxi you may want to opt to stay closer (we couldn't get firm information about that from the hotel and ended up missing it because we didn't know when it stopped running). It's a great location for wineries which we originally planned to visit. We also spent a day at Pupnaska Luka beach which was incredible (but across the island) so we didn't want to stay right in Old Town (we went for sunset/dinner at Old Town once the heat died down a little)."
