The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful. The pool was beautiful and had an excellent sunning area. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

What a gem! Location allows for a variety of day trips around Tuscany (assuming you have access to a car) while also being walking distance to over a dozen local restaurants in the old town of Capalbio. Staff went out of their way to be helpful, no matter who we encountered throughout our week stay. The property isn’t large but very well kept, offers a beautiful outdoor pool area and many indoor and outdoor communal spaces. Plus, the suites are perfect for families, and include a handy kitchenette. We loved our stay with our young child and highly recommend this spot for any age!

Nice, spacious, modern hotel right in the heart of the small town of Capalbio. Helpful, multi-lingual staff, quiet (cold!) outdoor pool, large air conditioned rooms, and a very good buffet breakfast included in price. Best base for visiting Tarot Gardens (tho will still need car/taxi). We loved hotel and the town, just a warning if you are using public transport, the train station is 7 miles away, you will need to contact the hotel to arrange a taxi!

Great location in Capalibo
Capalibo was a beautiful hilltown in the Maremma region. The hotel was right on the hill and short walk into the hilltown. The team was so nice and helpful for all the places to eat and hike in the area. The breakfast was a very large selection from eggs to homemade cakes.

Capalbio Beauty
Just one hour north of Rome this is the perfect place to stop. Capalbio is a wonderful small town and this hotel is an excellent place to stay especially the staff and the buffet breakfast.

Nice pool...hotel rooms in need of maintenance
The pool area is excellent however the rooms are in dire need of maintenance. When we arrived we were told we had been given an upgrade to an apartment. Sadly I am unsure what we were upgraded from but we were unable to turn on the bathroom light as the noise from the vent was louder than a jet engine, when advised the hotel simply unplugged the vent ...no sign of repair. The air conditioner went from soft to extremely loud waking you up all night just before it started to drip water so we had to put towels down ...this was not fixed for the second night. We asked if we could borrow an iron and ironing board as the detail clearly advised these were available...unfortunately the one iron they had for the 42 rooms was broken and at the repairers. The pool area was very nice with a lively helpful member of staff who with her lovely nature helped us to overcome our disappointment of the hotel. Would i return to this hotel ...never

Lovely hotel in Capalbio
We loved Capalbio and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Valle del Buttero. The hotel room was spacious and nice. The hotel staff was excellent. The pool was beautiful and we loved the snack bar, the games, the tv (world cup time) and all else that was offered. Every morning we were greeted with a delicious breakfast. From the hotel you walk a little ways up the hill to the medieval castle town of Capalbio where you will find restaurants, gelateria and other shops. Capalbio is located a few kilometers from the beach and close to many other lovely towns. We did not want to leave!

Fantastisk familieopphold i Capalbio
Jeg og min kone tilbragte noen dager her sammen med familie fra både Norge og Italia. I alt var vi et reisefølge på 23 personer, og både store og små stortrivdes her. Rommene var store og fine, hotellet var svært rent og pent, og servicen var topp. God og variert frokost, praktisk parkering og kort gåavstand til historiske Capalbio. Høydepunktet på hotellet var det flotte bassenget i hagen, der vi tilbragte store deler av ferien. Veldig praktisk med bassengbaren, som serverte både mat og drikke. Valle del Buttero Hotel anbefales på det varmeste!

Situato in posizione ideale, silenziosa, comoda per accedere alla zona storica, con comoda e curata piscina per chi preferisce non usare l'auto per recarsi al mare, 10 minuti per la spiaggia, buona colazione.

Wahnsinnig hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Wir hatten ein technisches Problem mit unserem Motorrad, worum sich an der Rezeption sofort erfolgreich gekümmert wurde. Tolles Zimmer, wunderschöne Anlage, erstklassiges Frühstück. Sehr schöne Empfangshalle, insgesamt Ambiente zum Wohlfühlen. Absolute Empfehlung unsererseits! Der Ort Capalbio ist auch eine Reise wert. Die Altstadt ist wunderschön und sehr malerisch!

Buongiorno Cristiana, Grazie per aver lasciato la recensione sul suo soggiorno a Capalbio. Ci sono periodi in cui abbiamo meno ospiti e quindi prepariamo un buffet più piccolino ma solo di dimensioni: abbiamo comunque le torte fatte in casa, i prodotti locali come ricotta e caciotta, prosciutto, salame, uova, frutta fresca e sciroppata, frutta secca e semi vari… fino al cappuccino espresso. La sua sistemazione Superior è stata tutta rinnovata questo inverno e quindi, probabilmente, quello che lei definisce "squallido", riteniamo sia soltanto uno stile moderno lontano dai suoi gusti personali.
