Very centrally located opposite the Palazzo Dei Consoli. Short two night stay in January, Room was clean, plenty of storage space. Staff were very polite and helpful. Continental breakfast good. Access to this area is limited to non resident cars, although you can drop off an pickup luggage, cars there after must be parked outside the zone. If you're a Don Matteo fan the bar has several signed memorabilia displayed.

Restaurant not open but owner gave us a lift to recommended Pizzeria.

Owners were wonderfully nice, even accommodating us arriving at a very late hour. Amazing views over the surrounding hills and valleys. Only issue was the bed was not very comfortable.

Hotel Gattapone was perfect for our one week holiday in Gubbio. It has a prime location (probably the best location in Gubbio) in the centre of this beautiful town. The staff were fantastic, especially Paolo who seemed to be on duty 24 hours a day; he was always warm and friendly and gave us some very useful advice on site seeing and eating out. Lovely hotel within historic town of Gubbio, very friendly staff. Wonderful views over the town & valley. Parking is free but not near the hotel. We have stayed here each time we have visited Gubbio.

This was a great stay.Roberta the owner couldnt do enough for us Their restaurant was amazing sevice and food delicious Its really a excellent find and we will be most definitely back Chef created excellent dishes. Glen & Raffa

Most helpful and friendly staff, beautiful surroundings. Good breakfast although restaurant not open at this time of year for evening meals. A sign post at the junction with the main road would be helpful and reassuring! A great 3 day stay.
