Excellent location near the centre of town but still very quiet at night. The owners were extremely helpful, nothing too much trouble despite us arriving late at night and them having to wait up! Lovely studio room.

Lovely room breakfast and host. We were having a nightmare with our hire car and had to return to Málaga. The host sorted all the information we needed and the late check-in meant that what potentially a problem wasn't. Thanks again and we will be seeing you in the future.

There were 4 of us visiting our boss who's lived in Competa for 29 years, they recommend the Balcon de competa hotel which we found very good, if we were being picky it was a little 'tired' but the staff, the food, the cleanliness made up for everything, we had a great holiday and hope to return in the near future.

Charming mountain hide away, lovingly decorated throughout. Views are amazing and a nice pool for those chilled out days. The best welcome you could ever get, very friendly, helpful hosts. Fresh breakfast prepared daily by Linsey, which tasted delicious. Don't ever pass up on her sourdough! You will not be disappointed should you visit, Cant recommend it enough.

Nice apartment if not a little lacking in facilities. Lovely quiet pool. Nothing in the town nearby and quite a drive from other areas and the coast. Great place for a big party though !!

Had a great 4 nights stay coffee machine in room but would of Preferred a kettle apart from that was verry happy 😊 👍will book again

A clean, comfortable hotel with friendly, helpful staff. This hotel is close by the Balcon, where everything is situated. It's within easy reach of many bars and restaurants; there's all sorts to suit all tastes. Beware following the parking signs for Hotel Puerta de la Mar. They take you to the underground car park, next to the hotel. It's handy, yes... but it costs €22.50 a day. Ask at hotel reception and they will help you!

Lovely renovated room where everything was clean and looked new! Huge balcony over looking the pool which was also fab and we had it to ourselves most of the time, balcony gets the sun until sunset where you can watch the sun go down, there is a steep hill and lots of steps so can be tiring walking up and down, we found the coastal path to the old town which took about 20 mins to get to, the beach was beautiful and not too busy and it’s a 5 minute walk down hill, a bit longer coming back!
