"This is not easy to find - tucked away in the hamlet above Canfin. (Drive past Candin for 1km and there’s a sign on the left). The hotel has beautiful outdoor seating under a thatch and lovely walks around. But what makes it so special is the quality of the cooking - they do an evening meal for guests, with full use of local products, especially the chestnuts and figs. We had spiced figs in our main dish of perfectly long-cooked beef, and home-made marrons glacé on our delicious lemon...

"I enjoyed the hotel. Centrally located with a bar underneath. I slept well, the beds were comfy and the staff friendly. However, in comparison to some other places I stayed at before this one ( the previous 7 nights in 5 different places) I think it was overpriced. No TV, no breakfast. I can live without these things but some of the other places were offering one or the other or both for less. Thus I think a more realistic price should be in the 50- 60 EUR range and not mid 80s as I paid. "

"Experience could be improved. The impression is that they want to charge for almost everything (Pool access, electricity, even the breakfast when according to our booking it was included), the studio was very small and you slept with the sound of the refrigerator next to you. COVID measures where not at 100% I would say. Staff was very nice and helpful but personally I wouldn’t choose it again."
