This place was in the middle of the northern part of island. From here we explored 3/4 of the island in 2 days with a rental car. It was easy for an american to drive. I suggest an automatic. We had a standard. It was fun. Up and down and around the roads. We tried Cozido das furnas. It was delicious! ...

Grand Hotel Açores Atlântico
The room was spacious, the beds comfortable, staff was excellent to deal with and the breakfast had many great options. Location was centrally located and close to the harbor and near the airport. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Gaivota Azores
