The breakfast was very nice, the apartment was large and comfortable - we didn't realize that they offer apartments and air bnb rooms bec we would have opted for the latter rather than the apartment but it was very nice and had a futon if we needed to accommodate additional people. Kitchen with full size fridge, balcony, and nice bathroom. Would definitely recommend. "

"We had such a great time here. We were greeted with coffee and snacks and plenty of information about the town. The restaurant was closed but was offered to us which was great. we were also given suggestions to go eat at. the rooms were great, breakfast was very good. we even got to purchase some chirstmas ornaments. our host we also very friendly. "A once in a lifetime experience to stay in the gloriousky restored riooms of the Albergo Diffuso set in the amazing project that is San Stefano ehich hss breathed life back into a deserted village. Wonderful mountain counteyside all around. And some goof foid in thr restaurants too!"

We stayed here because we wanted to see the flower fields near Casteluccio. We drove up from Rome in about 4 hours through beautiful mountains. This castle (a former defensive fortification) was a breathtaking sight at the end of the drive. We were warmly greeted by the owners, Francesco and his sister Lara. Our baggage was taken up the stairs via an amazing custom monorail.
The room was comfortable and cool, the linens were excellent quality, our sleep was refreshing, and breakfast healthy and satisfying. They feature delicious bottled juices. Francesco gave us a tour of the fascinating historical interior rooms including the winemaking room with the grape stomping vats! I highly recommend Castle di Luco, we will treasure our stay here forever!
