Search Bed and Breakfasts in Callander

"The room was basic but very clean. The restaurant (for both an evening meal and breakfast) were very disappointing. The evening meal that I had (tikka masala curry) was average and overpriced. The breakfast was particularly bad. We arrived at 08:30 on 2 days and found that there was nearly nothing left on the 'continental' section, except for a few cereal boxes and a sorry bowl of prunes. The cooked breakfast is buffet style and was equally bad...the eggs had a hard skin on them and everything wasn't above luke warm. The staff were friendly, but there appears to be a lack of them in the restaurant (1 friendly lady running around doing everything was our experience). The location and hotel is very good for those out hiking, but as for meals I would try elsewhere. One thing that the 'spa' photos didn't capture was the "swimming lessons in progress" signs... The spa is actually a somewhat disappointing leisure centre that is not ideal for a couple on a relaxing getaway. Overall, the hotel is tired and in need of development, but if you're looking for somewhere comfortable to stay whilst hiking then it is an affordable option."

"All areas of the hotel were immaculate and very clean, plenty of parking spaces and very quiet at night, no noise from corridors or banging of room doors. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Their recommendation for food at Cooks Bar and Kitchen was an excellent choice, the Kelpies was a short pleasant walk, once out of the trading estate. The only downside was not being able to walk to a pub/restaurant for food, although the drive to Cooks was less than five minutes.There was a staff kitchen which guests are welcome to use."

"Very nice little hotel in good location to driving just about anywhere. It was clean and comfortable for the 3 of us. Check in and out was simple, nice staff. Restaurant staff not really very welcoming, we very much felt like outsiders and that we were just in the way. We ate the first 2 dinners there and one breakfast. Dinner food is absolutely outstanding but was disappointed that the breakfast menu on site was not the same online. I was really wanting the eggs Benedict but it wasnt on the menu we were given. Decent stay for the price."

"Hotel conveniently located on the high street, with car parking around the back, and free street parking at the front. Rooms 6 and 8 were spacious with large double beds and good amenities, however the decor and furniture in the bedrooms and en suites was a bit tired and in need of doing up or replacing, and being cleaned more thoroughly. The downstairs restaurant looked to have a good menu, but we chose to have an Indian next door (very good!) and the hotel’s breakfast menu and service was very good and plentiful."
