Just the most tranquil, and wonderful stay.

Facilities were great with little touches like sweets on the pillow. Room had clear damage/marks on the walls not repaired and the service was mostly average with one breakfast at the buffet were we didn’t get seen to at all and had find servers ourselves. Hotel facilities and options were great.

We found some guests felt isolated, but a bit of effort with a taxi or the local busses take you to some fantastic levada walks nearby. We had a hire car and explored the mountains in the morning and came back for swimming and sun in the afternoon. Dining was five star and the staff brighten the place up with their courtesy and helpfulness.

This is a fabulous little hotel. A real gem. Great location, lovely room with balcony & stunning view (we stayed in the Ocean View Suite), delightful & friendly staff (Telma, Nicole & Raquel deserve a special mention), delicious breakfast (& dinner if required) and all spotlessly clean and well maintained. This place was incredible! Room was amazing - so spacious and comfy. Loved the bath robes! We used all 3 of the hotel’s spas with roof top hot tubs, swimming pool and sauna. Breakfast was amazing. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

A tasteful blend of contemporary and traditional buildings, with our superior block room worth the extra money - larger and with a much better quality lounging area outside the patio doors. A nice, personal sized hotel as a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World group. Breakfast was intimate, uncrowded and orders of hot food came in seconds. The gardens are immaculate and there were ample staff everywhere throughout our stay attending both to maintaining the internal and external ambiance....

Nice resort hotel in the North West of Madeira, perfectly located for the natural pools. As an added bonus you get access to unlimited free day passes into the pools that require a paid ticket. The staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful. We had a friend call ahead (unknown to us) to tell them it was our honeymoon and they gave us a free bottle of wine which was a lovely gesture. Me and my husband have stayed there for 4 nights and I can't say a single bad word about the hotel. The room was amazing, stuff very nice (we even got a packed breakfast to take away because we had to leave early!) and the view from the room's balcony is priceless. Highly recommended.

The staff are courteous and friendly and helpful. If they were unable to help directly they could always advise where you might get the help you needed. We enjoyed our stay but did find a big disadvantage that as it was 3-4 miles inland from the express way on very difficult roads you didn't want to go into the town after dark. Had a nice warm welcome followed by a clean, fresh and spacious double-bed room - six comfy nights sleep-lovely mattress support. Buffet breakfast was just the ticket after a quick early morning work out in their 2nd floor gym (Buffet choice: Drinks, Fruits, fried full breakfasts, cold meats, cheese & soft fresh bread, etc). Lounge an afternoon away on the sun rooftop beds (4 pairs) with shaded side-seating for the sun-shy. Just kick back, read a book and relax in peace until the sonic-pleasing...

The hotel is situated on a main road (no noise problems though) which gives great links to the main buses in to Funchal, including a courtesy bus from the hotel, and the open top tour buses. The hotel says 4 star but how it isn't a 5 star I will never know! The hotel is home to beautiful gardens, including an orchid garden, making the scenery even more beautiful.
