It's new, with construction going on in the building. Very few amenities; it would have been nice to have instant coffee or a TV with any kind of paid app. No lamp in the living room or bedroom to read by. No art or any decoration on the walls, etc. I paid a lot for one night. It was brand new, but it could have used a bit of character to make the place comfortable. It was within easy walking distance of the Recreational Facility in Cochrane.
The host was friendly and the space had everything we needed for the weekend. It was close to grocery stores, restaurants, and in a nice area. Lots of parking available too.
The only downside was that the condo was really new and units inside were still being worked on and although the place we stayed was done, it was fairly dusty inside and in the building with all the construction. I’m sure when all the work is finished in the area, that would no longer be a concern!
We booked a two-night stay beginning September 25, 2026, at Ocgrow Reserve in Cochrane for an out-of-town family member. Based on our experience, the condition of the accommodation fell far below what we expected from a property advertised as offering a luxury experience.
We arrived around 9 p.m. and struggled to locate the room due to a lack of visible signage. Once inside, we were shocked by the condition. The room was covered in what appeared to be construction dust. The towels appeared to have been used, the shower was visibly dirty, and there was what appeared to be dried urine on the toilet seat. The bedding also appeared unwashed, including a clump of someone's hair in the sheets.
We found these conditions unacceptable for any paid accommodation. We could not locate anyone on-site to assist us or address our concerns. Given the condition of the room, we arranged alternative accommodation for our family member that evening.
We provided photographs documenting the conditions and requested a refund the next day via chat on the website. The property declined our request, maintaining that the room was clean.
Our experience was extremely disappointing. We believe that guests should reasonably expect clean bedding, sanitary bathroom facilities, and accommodation that is properly prepared for their arrival.
Based on the conditions we personally observed, we would not recommend this property.
The room was clean and the host was nice and helped us with our questions.
We understand that this room was new to being rented out and I want to list items that should be added to the room.
The room had one small garbage can in the bathroom with only one bag. There should be at least one larger can in the kitchen area and replacement bags should be provided. There were no dish towels and two wash cloths total in the unit.
There was no frying pan but I realized later that there was one in the unemptied dishwasher. There was no dishwasher detergent.
We were disappointed to learn there was no AC . It was unusually warm and we were told that only happens a couple weeks out of the year. It was too hot to sleep well so we did buy a fan that helped. Also the door did not have a screen and there were only two small windows we could leave open. The door had no shade and the parking lot has security lights that shined brightly into the room.
We also purchased a couple chairs we could put on the patio as well as use in the room. The room has two small bar stools to sit on other than the beds.
If these issues are addressed and it is not so warm outside, this room would be a good place to stay. We liked the area and really enjoyed the bike trail.
