Picturesque but uncomfortable

Mesón de la Dolores is old, picturesque with wood beams and painted plaster. The staff are friendly and it is clean. However our room was dark and airless with only a tiny shuttered window overlooking an internal space of the reception area and bar. The airconditioning was not working. It was extremely noisy. We could hear loud conversations throughout the evening and all night. We had a most uncomfortable sleepless night. The restaurant was cheap but poor quality. The small car park was full when we arrived and there is little parking nearby. Overall I believe the hotel is expensive for the accommodation offered. We would not stay here again and I couldn’t recommend it to anyone else.

Un sitio y una decoración únicos. Personal muy agradable, cenamos allí y estaba todo riquísimo. Nos dejaron quedar hasta más tarde sin problema y sin recargo alguno

Ubicación céntrica ideal con acceso facilísimo, y si consigues sitio para aparcar en el solar-parking, perfecto, si no, hay otro solar en la misma pza, mayor o en la zona próxima exterior al centro a apenas 200 mts. Trato normal. El edificio una maravilla, no vallas buscando vistas al asomarte por la ventana que no las vas a tener, pero a cambio tienes una edificio con historia, muy bien conservado y ambientado, es una maravilla utilizar la escalera para ir viendo la decoración de las zonas de descanso y paso de cada planta y los techos de madera, sobre todo en la ultima planta, el patio interior con su pozo y la entrada a la recepción que es muy original. Los salones para desayuno y comidas, muy bien decorados con mucho gusto y detalle. el desayuno mas que suficiente, el pan buenísimo, el zumo, bollería y tortilla igual. El museo de la Dolores existente en el edificio, tuvimos que pagar por entrar (Menos que si no estás alojado), entramos porque estábamos allí y ves otra parte del edificio pero tampoco le veo mucho sentido, tan solo cuando hagan catas de vinos, puesto que tienen un espacio ideal para ello. Como anécdota, al llegar me hablaron solo de alojamiento cuando tenía también el desayuno incluido, volvieron a mirar y lo vieron, pero es que al irme me dijeron que estaba la estancia sin abonar, lo cual me sorprendió, y después de estar un rato en la recepción y de revisar mi reserva se quedara solventado el error de no mirar bien las cosas antes de echarme el alto.

La ciudad que necesita urgentes arreglos

Se consiguieron los objetivos previstos, aunque la ciudad nos desilusionó bastante debido al estado de dejadez municipal con los edificios antiguos. El mesón, la comida y el tiempo excelentes.

A pesar de haber pagado una habitación con una cama doble, nos dieron dos camas individuales. Al hablar con la mujer de recepción del turno de tarde, nos dijo que el pago en Expedia era sólo una solicitud no vinculante y no tenían la obligación de cumplir las condiciones. Además de añadir que esto era usual con la plataforma Expedia. Para nuestra sorpresa vimos con en el office (puerta con puerta Con Nuestra habitación, había somieres y colchones dobles que podrían haber puesto fácilmente.
