"We chose this hotel as the relaxation part of our trip, and overall it didn't disappoint. The resort itself was lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay.
The only thing that let it down was our arrival. We were initially told that our two rooms would not be together, which wasn't acceptable as we had booked them back in December. After a lengthy discussion, the staff were able to find us two rooms in the same block, which we appreciated.
We also experienced an issue with our room keys. When we returned to our room, we couldn't get in. The gentleman on reception wasn't particularly helpful and advised that the manager was on the phone and would be at least 30 minutes. We weren't offered any refreshments or an alternative while we waited, which was disappointing. After waiting around 30 minutes, I returned to reception to ask again, and the manager came over and replaced the battery in the door lock, resolving the issue.
Considering this was the most expensive accommodation of our trip, we expected a smoother arrival experience and a higher level of customer service from reception. Despite these issues, we still enjoyed our stay and felt the hotel was a great place to relax."
