"We spent a delightful six nights at Victoria House. The owner, Jan, was a gracious and very helpful host. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. No breakfast was served, but there are many excellent breakfast spots within a five minute walk. And the room came with ground coffee and a French press coffee maker, plus excellent snacks. However the staff were very helpful and we were in the property in a short time.
The accommodation was very clean and the facilities were perfect for our needs.
Local walks in every direction with stunning views.
Close to all the main areas of interest for Snowdonia and North Wales.
Having a shop on site is so useful for fresh milk etc.
Would not hesitate to use this locality again as it is central to all our areas of interest."

"If you’re looking for a historic experience while visiting the castle, you can’t get better than this Inn. It’s obviously been modernized, but eating downstairs has such a tavern feel to it. The portions are huge and the food is delicious especially the welsh pie and soups. Within the castle walls, you’ll have an array of local shops and pubs to frequent after touring the castle. Enjoy a walk along the water. As others have mentioned, there are stairs and it can be a bit of a maze to get to your room. I was worried but this actually did not bother me. As long as you can lift your suitcase up stairs, you’ll be fine. "
