"If you're in the area, I cannot recommend Conchal enough.
It's a gorgeous little boutique hotel with a small number of rooms, which makes the experience feel less cookie-cutter. The staff are incredible, & the space itself looks exactly like the pictures - full of greenery & wildlife, & the pool is perfect.
Things to note if you plan on staying here:
- It's not a luxury hotel, but the staff will give you luxury hotel service.
- The hotel itself is right off a main road, so you WILL hear traffic at all times of the day
- The hotel is about a 15-18 minute walk to Playa Conchal, which is the beach you'd want to spend the day at. However, the closest beach is only about 5 minutes away, & it is perfect for sunset.
- I would recommend this hotel as a home base, filling your days with different excursions/outings.
- The restaurant is lovely - lots of yummy options. However, if you opt in for the hotel breakfast, it does not include the full restaurant menu, but 3 different options and a fruit plate to go with them all. Similarly, they have a few cereals out during breakfast time.
- You're about a 10 min taxi away from Playa Flamingo
- Lots of yummy restaurants within walking distance
- If you can, I'd recommend asking for a room not underneath the restaurant to avoid noise above you when they close/open the restaurant
With all that in mind, I would absolutely return to this hotel."
