"The breakfast was continental and generous, the owners were very welcoming, a typical french farmhouse in a lovely location. Wonderfully isolated. "

"We stopped for one night on an evening when the restaurant was closed. We were made very welcome (there are 4 rooms only and we were the only guests). The hostess cooked us a lovely three course dinner ( though menu was limited) and in the morning we has a lovely continental breakfast. Simple fair but plentiful. Off the besten track and typical local French"

"Le Matisse, que je fréquente pour la 2è année consécutive est un petit hôtel calme dans une rue peu fréquentée à 2 pas du centre de Pau. La chambre est simple mais confortable et fonctionnelle. La propreté des locaux irréprochable. Seul bémol, les chambres ne sont pas, à ce jour, climatisées. Avec les épisodes de canicule qui s'acroissent, les ventilateurs fournis (par ailleurs efficaces) ne sont pas suffisants. Il faut espérer que l'établissement saura évoluer. D'un bon rapport qualité-prix,...

"Believe the website said bar and restaurant but the place had neither. Very nice property but well above and away from the town area and so walking to find dinner was very inconvenient. Nice place but would not stay again due to being sort of stranded without food for dinner."
