Overall this is a lovely hotel. Check in was friendly and very efficient. The room was compact and there was not loads of storage space, but it was comfortable and clean. Bedding was high quality. It had large towels, rather than small ones, like those provided at many hotels here. The bathroom was modern and had it was nice to have a shower curtain.
The hotel seems to have a reward policy for people who do not want their rooms cleaned at all. We wanted the room to be made up, but left towels hanging to show we were happy to reuse them. Despite this, they were changed every day. We were surprised the room did not have a SMART TV. Breakfast was not quite in keeping with the general quality of the hotel. The toaster was ridiculous - only one side of the bread toasted and then only barely. The controls to let the guest decide the level of toasting were taped up - this is not necessary. A better toaster is needed. Breakfast choices had some variety, but it was mostly the same every day. Limited hot Western options. There were croissants on the first day, but for the rest of our stay there were none. Some of the vegetables did not appear to have been washed, or were in dirty bowels. We would also expect knives to go with forks in a hotel catering to international guests. Guests had to clear their own tables, even though sometimes staff were not busy - this did not give a hotel-like feel. Whilst a stay here is recommended, the hotel should consider improving the breakfast.
