"The only saving grace of this hotel is the location; it is literally steps away from the seaside. I was in Brighton for a conference and everywhere else was fully booked, so I didn't have much choice. Having read the reviews beforehand, I was already skeptical, and unfortunately, my experience confirmed my fears. I certainly won't be back. While the room was clean, it was freezing because the heating wasn't working. Since there are no phones in the rooms, I had to walk all the way to reception to complain. I was told they had "switched off" the heating and was offered a mini electric heater instead. For the price they charge per night, this is unacceptable. Furthermore, the room layout felt "off"—the floor had a noticeable dip/slope and wasn't level. I didn't try the breakfast, but I’m glad I didn’t; walking past the restaurant counter, the food did not look nice at all. Only stay here if you are desperate."

"What I like: Both room and bathroom is very large and spacious. Great location, literally a 3 minute walk to the beach that can be seen from the balcony, A nice balcony to sit outside at night, enjoy a drink and watch the world go by. Within walking distance to train station, Hove and Brighton beach, grocery stores, hotels and cafes. Nice helpful staff. What I didn’t like: Hallway smelled of cigarette smoke and so did the pillows."

"This hotel is in a fantastic location in Brighton. Excellent customer service as soon as you arrive, staff always helpful and polite. We upgraded to the deluxe room which was very spacious and clean. The bistro was delicious and Mohammed was attentive throughout the service. The bar staff were always polite. There are no lifts in the hotel."
