"we were travelling to Ireland to bring my brother’s ashes back to bury him, I spoke to the owner of this house on the day of travelling only to be told they do not advertise their property with Hotels.com we were left stranded and having to sort out accommodation last minute, the owner tried to help us as Bunclody is a very small town and not plentiful of accommodation. We ended up finding somewhere which was not ideal as it was room only instead of a whole house with cooking...

"Great time for adults and children alike. The Dome is an amazing facility for the kid’s club and other times in the day, with so much to do. Pool brilliant for all ages. Gym excellent. Dunnes, chemist and other shops close by for anything you might need. Bar entertainment was original and a lot of fun. Food, breakfast, lunch and dinner very tasty (recommend the bangers and mash). Staff very helpful and went out of their way to make our adventure memorable."

"Lovely property… breakfast and dinner were good quality The only complaint is that the Expedia site says that all rooms are air conditioned but only half the building is. As we were in a heat wave in Ireland, we received a room which was sweltering even with windows open. For our second day they were able to move us to one of their air conditioned rooms which was far more comfortable… perhaps the website needs to be more accurate"

"OMG….can I give it a HIGHER RATING than excellent??? This place blew us away….if you’re in Ireland, and want to stay in a castle, look no further!! Huge suite, with vaulted ceilings, impeccable grounds and the only thing missing was a friendly ghost visit during the night! Take the drive near Wexford and stay at this amazing castle!"

"Cathy and Paul are amazing hosts who welcomed us friends rather than guests. The room is spacious with everything you could need. The bathroom is modern and the bed is super comfortable. Cathy has thoughtfully given bedding options for those who prefer a top sheet - in this heat this is all that was required! I particularly liked the dinky little benchtop fridge. In the evening we sat in the outdoor area created by Paul and enjoyed our bottle of wine after driving from Dublin Airport. Breakfast....oh, my. Delicious and so plentiful. Fresh fruit & yogurt followed by your choice from Cathy's several cooked options. Cathy is so engaging and interested in her guests. She gave us local sightseeing suggestions. We didn't meet Paul but together they are a fabulous team whose B&B will be hard to beat. Thank you!!"

Riverfield Bed and Breakfast

"Stayed for one night in the family room with my two children. The room was spacious, even with a double bed and two singles. The en suite was spotless. There were plenty of spare toilet rolls, as well as shower gel and handsoap. The room also had tea and coffee making facilities, a bottle of drinking water, and a lovely touch of a little selection of fudge sweets. There was a safe and hairdryer in the wardrobe. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. It was lovely and quiet throughout the night. No disturbances at all. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice: cereal, fruit yoghurt, homemade brown bread, porridge, local honey, as well as the cooked options of bacon, sausage, egg (any way you like), tomato, mushroom, beans and toast. The fresh coffee was delicious. The staff were excellent. On hand if you needed anything, but also left you to your own devices, which I appreciated. All in all, I would say hotel standard and I will definitely stay again."
