The COVID-19 pandemic may have changed how we travel, but it hasn't curbed our appetite for exploring. Here are some tips on how to navigate travel's new challenges:

• Investigate if any travel restrictions apply to your origin and destination before locking in a flight. Also check if there are any special conditions you'll need to follow on arrival, such as mandatory quarantining.
• Requirements state you must wear a face mask at the airport, even at screening checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask for ID verification when asked by a TSA officer.
• Instead of handing a TSA officer your boarding pass, position it directly on the reader yourself. After that, hold it up for inspection.
• One liquid hand sanitizer container is now allowed in your carry-on baggage. It must not be larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll have to remove it from your bag for X-ray screening.
• To minimize handling during screening, place personal items such as your keys, wallet, phone and belt into your carry-on rather than the bins.
• Separate any food you're carrying for X-ray screening. Putting it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to handle and inspect your belongings.
