"The property is lovely and very well run. I have stayed there many times. However, this year, Expedia accepted my booking and my money, and when I arrived late at night after a long drive - the hotel was closed - and up for Sale! I had to find a room after 9pm on the busiest weekend of the year. I have asked Expedia to refund my money but had no acknowledgement."

"We stayed in the Helyk lodge and it was beautiful, we walked through the door and I was blown away with how spacious the place felt. Everything we needed when we arrived, tea, milk and biscuits in a gorgeous welcom pack. The whole place was spotless and the shower was amazing. The courtyard garden is enclosed and private, there's a large picnic bench and a big hot tub. It felt so special and an added bonus to the holiday. The site is quiet and clean with some quirky properties dotted about The hosts, Becky and John, are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. We will be staying here again."
