"lovely place ,car parking very limited outside main car park close but shared , rooms airy and well equipped ,old sash windows one rattled in wind other sash broken could not open , bathroom very clean and tidy ,. glass bottles crashing into waste bin outside window at 8.15 room 10 apart from that would recommend ."

"The staff were warm and inviting, especially the proprietor Simon. The room was tidy and clean. The best was the 14th Century building with a carriageway entrance for a front door and nary a straight line or level floor board to be found. This is a rare gem. And, strange for such an old building, the best shower in all of Cornwall (hot and high pressure). I got to sample the new Indian cuisine that could soon be available at the hotel. I hope so. It’s excellent!"

"John and Anita were really welcoming. We managed to park quite easily on the street nearby. Room was lovely, overlooking golf course. Bed really comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Great value stay."

"All staff very friendly, helpful and professional. The guest house is very close and in walking distance 5-10 mins of Sumerleaze and Crooklets beaches with lots to explore and fantastic scenery to see."

"Very friendly atmosphere from the start and the staff were so friendly. Room was pleasant, spacious and we slept well. Lovely to wake and stroll on the beach and watch the rollers at breakfast time. The food in the bistro was excellent and very good value. It was an excellent choice to use as a base for exploring the coastline. We wish them all the very best and hope to stay with yhem in the future. "

"A short 2 night break. The chalet was warm, comfortable and clean. Kitchen, dining area, lounge, bedrooms and bathrooms were all modern and set out very nicely. There is a pub and resteraunt on site with facilities for family groups. The location is within easy reach of Bude, but having your own transport is advisable. "

"Wouldn’t recommend at all. Firstly, the accommodation is based on a camp site which is not made clear on the website. The specific area is ok but all a bit run down. The garden in the pictures is shared between all cottages and despite stating pet friendly has a sign saying “don’t let dogs on grass” So yes dogs can stay in cottages but not sure where else they can go? We arrived and our first cottage absolute stunk of damp. We had to be moved and the second cottage was ok. Definitely not 4* and not a king size bed! The shower makes a screeching noise when on loud and there is no air circulation in the cottages. This was the end of our honeymoon and we ended up leaving a night early because we were so disappointed and the owner doesn’t seem to have a clue! Boiler made noise all night and the bed was so uncomfy. Pillows felt like they had been filled with cotton balls you would get from a pharmacy rather than proper pillows! I strongly recommend hotels.com review their rating of these properties as it is nowhere the standard advertised. "
