"This isn't the most cheery place to stay. It's old and dark, but it's clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was a bit depressing, to be honest. But for the value, it was fine."

"This hotel has 12 rooms above a pub/restaurant, which can get a little noisy until it closes at midnight. Also, there is no lift, but someone is more than willing to help with your luggage. Tracey checked us in and couldn’t be more pleasant or helpful. After dinner,I sat at the bar and talked with her for a bit. Breakfast was served by Emma and what a gem she was. I wish I knew the name of the girl that served us dinner, she too was a perfect delight. Our room was exceptionally large and we were told it was the living room of the building, but everyone was downstairs in the pub, so they turned it into a hotel room. The only issue was that the shower didn’t drain fast at all I told Emma next morning at checkout and she said it will be dealt with."

"My daughter and I spent two nights here. The room was really clean and well provisioned with tea/ coffee facilities and a mini fridge which was very handy. Bathroom was spotless but the room carpet was rather grubby. We did not eat in the hotel as there are so many great places to eat nearby. The staff were really friendly and helpful on reception and in the spa. A super hotel near to all attractions and ashort distance to shops. We would definitely come back.."
