Loved the comfortable bed, basement parking, heated pool, gym facilities and the water dispensers located on each floor. Location is good too as it's within walking distance to Kea Farm. Many thanks to the kind and hospitable staff, they were so pleasant from check-in till check-out!

Great location with good scenery. Staff are both attentive and friendly. Place is a bit old, should consider cleaning the patio by the restaurant as it was dirty and slippery. We availed the breakfast and it was very good. I’ll recommend this place for anyone who considers it.

The property is very dated and somewhat run down with limited options all round. Sadly the area in general was not what we expected, heavily littered and spoiled by aggressive polytunnel farming and mining. Not the hotels fault of course but perhaps the reason for underinvestment in maintenance. We checked out early.

Compthorne hotel is a very unkept old hotel not maintained at all. Service is poor, dirty worn-out linen, bathroom muggy and leaky faucets. Outdated place. Shouldn’t be on Expedia.

Shower head broken, hair dryer faulty, water kettle is super dirty , did not provide tooth brush, housekeeping did not give fresh tower, need to wait like 25 min for a fresh towel.

The property is older and has mould and bugs which are hard to ignore. We liked having the fridge, kettle and large space but the fridge was not cleaned well and I feared setting things down on the bottom. Our room was at the end of the building (quieter) but the wifi did not reach to connect. We had suggested drivers from the hotel cancel on us and little help from the front desk on options. The location is good for walking to certain destinations, but it also feels far at the same time. We would try another place next time.

Allocated rooms 1025 and 1026. Both are dirty with fungal rotten toilet door, fungal bath flooring, stained walls and fungus lodged underside wash basin. Shameless hotel with terrible housekeeping. Would avoid this hotel with extreme prejudice. Expedia should go audit this hotel.

Great hotel , just little bit old may need more renovation and improvement on breakfast buffet, all foods on buffet only have chicken bites for nasi lemak. The rest of foods like likely for vegetarians.

Spacious Room

Condition of room is good and spacious with good farm view. Room is clean except for the musty smell, however open up with the fan on helped to clear off quite quickly. Breakfast range is quite good.

Average and comfortable stay

The hotel is average comfortable considering the number of years it has been around. The facilities need upgrading especially the door lock which can be a security concern. Nonetheless, my stay is pleasant and comfy for me.
