Quality stay
Very nice stay here - good location for going out on day trips. The Inn and hospitality by Laurie and Jason were excellent. Everything from breakfast to accomodations were well done !!

The Captain Freeman Inn is charming. Laurie and Jason provide extras, like an afternoon snack, which make the stay extra special. A wonderful breakfast too.

The new owners (as of January 2020) Laurie and Jason, go above and beyond to make a stay with them absolutely enjoyable, giving information on the area, providing the use of beach chairs, beach towels, serving afternoon tea snacks (via room-specific Bento boxes during the Covid19 crisis!), serving the most fabulous, filling, freshly cooked breakfast (included!) served on the porch or by the pool, surrounded with lovely plantings! If you have a need, they will be happy to fill it. The Inn itself is a charming old building, lovingly kept up, and the rooms are lovely, with great 'accoutrements' in both bath and bedroom. Plan a visit, you'll love it!

This is a centrally located, clean, beautifully appointed property with modern updates and all the amenities. The three-course gourmet breakfast is nothing short of glorious. And, best of all, owners Laurie and Jason could not be nicer or more accommodating.

This is our third year here and we absolutely love the property and grounds. We love the attention to detail and the outdoor swimming pool. They provide a 3-course breakfast every morning, which is filling and delicious! The owners are so kind and will help you out with any questions you may have.

The Captain Freeman Inn was built in 1866 and has tremendous bones. Donna and I have spent the last 8 years restoring her, retaining the historic touches and feel along with appropriate updates to electricity, plumbing, bathrooms etc. Thank you for your review and we hope to see you again. I have never stayed in a hotel, at any price, where every detail was thought of. It was a fabulous stay. Byron and Donna are consummate hosts. Well appointed rooms, clean, comfortable and luxurious! The welcome gift of an African Violet sits on my kitchen window sill and reminds me of that beautiful place every time I look at it. We booked out next year's stay before we left! I have never done that before.

Our 3 days on te Cape
It was good, the weather could have been better, but that's something beyond our control. Great food wonderful hosts. Will do it again, maybe in the late fall.

No place better to stay than Captain Freeman Inn!
Captain Freeman Inn was fantastic! We had the best time in the most serene location. The breakfast was out of this world every single day of our stay. And cannot forget to mention the fantastic cookies, snacks, teas, etc. always present for guests to enjoy. Donna and Byron were beyond hospitable and kind. We felt so much warmth in their home. We will definitely return for another stay very soon and have already recommended CFI to many friends and family.

This is by far the BEST B&B we have ever stayed at!! The house is perfect! The location, the parking, the quaintness, the staff, the inkeepers, the cleanliness, the food!! Everything was superb! They thought of everything to make our stay memorable and amazing. We loved it!!! We stayed in the Orleans room on the first floor. The bathroom had the best shower and with heated floors! The staff is remarkable. So great. Just do yourself a favor and book this place. You will not regret it!

Overall review
We have a summer home nearby. We like to check it out during the winter and stay at a nearby inn. Captain Freeman’s was available, had a room which met all our needs (ground level, king size bed). The inn keepers are great, concerned, interested, interesting, personable, and very helpful and informative. The facilities are great, the breakfast superb.

Somewhere special to stay in Brewster.
Where to begin, the property was beautifully turned out and the owners could not have done more to make us feel at home. The service was spot on as was the location and accommodation. I can honestly say I felt I should be paying more for the service and accommodation than we did, having just come from what was supposedly a 4* hotel in Boston, then this should have been rated 5* plus. We would thoroughly recommend this property to anybody looking for accommodation in the area of Brewster.

Great hotel and friendly staff
They have literally thought of everything. They spare no expense. You're completely pampered. Breakfast is amazing. The rooms are clean, cozy and fully stocked. Staff is wonderfully friendly. I literally can't think of anything to critique. Stay here!

Wonderful place to stay!
I loved our daily walk to Brewster Beach with honeysuckles. Espi was fantastic, warm and friendly. Whenever I had a question she was available. The location is close to everything on Cape Cod. We are already planning a trip back. Thanks again Espi for making our 25th anniversary special.

Cozy Weekend Getaway
Our stay at the Inn was absolutely wonderful! It was very clean, the rooms were tastefully decorated and thoughtful extra's (H2o, news papers, blankets, towels and always tea,coffee,hot choc., and cookies or cakes). The breakfast on both mornings were gourmet quality and the service exceptional. The owners were friendly but not intrusive. The weekend was truly relaxing and enjoyable, we will revisit in the near future.

Quaint Cape Cod Inn
My husband and I had a lovely overnight stay at the Capt Freeman Inn. The room was spotless, fabulous bedding, historically decorated, with modern bath amenities. You can lounge in your room or take coffee/tea in the large living and/or dining area. Innkeepers Byron and Donna were welcoming, warm and attentive to anything we needed. Breakfast was included in the rate and included fresh fruit, homemade scones, their own homemade jams, a prosseco sorbet and omelets! All super delicious! Brewster is a quintessential Cape Cod town and a great visit in the off season. Its a short walk to the beach from the inn. Just bring a jacket and take a long walk along the bay beach or stroll the streets of Brewster and take in the architecture. There are numerous restaurants, art galleries, etc in the area that are a short walk/drive and don't leave without checking out the Brewster General Store.

So worth it!
The Captain Freeman Inn is perfect! The rooms are spotless very well appointed and that continues throughout the experience. The owner Byron and Donna were so welcoming and you could tell they love what they do. The breakfasts were fabulous and very health conscious. The grounds are beautiful and the Inn is so well equipped there wasn't one thing amiss.We slept well no noise from the other rooms and out little sun porch was a welcome respite after a day walking the marsh!

Quaint HIstoric Perfection
The Captain Freeman Inn was the perfect place to stay for our babymoon. The owners and staff were so courteous and welcoming, and every detail, from the room to breakfast to the afternoon snack, was paid careful attention. The breakfasts were amazing, served poolside on the screened-in porch, complete with first and main courses, and soft guitar music courtesy of the waiter, Marco. We always looked forward to returning to the inn in the afternoon for the delicious sweet snack, which varied by the day, and a cup of coffee or tea on the large relaxing porch. And of course there was the inn's resident dog, Harrison, a sweet, lumbering labradoodle who came around the breakfast tables to greet guests in the morning. We will definitely be returning for another stay here!

Sleepy B&B in great location!
We had a wonderful time in Brewster thanks to Donna and Byron's hospitality! Each morning was a delight with delicious breakfasts that really spoiled us! Location was superb - very close to larger towns in Cape Cod but left us feeling off the grid and very relaxed. Walking distance to fantastic beach that we quite enjoyed. We hope to come back!!

Perfect Weekend Getaway
The Captain Freeman Inn was the perfect getaway for my boyfriend and I. Donna and Byron were the nicest hosts and we're willing to help you in anyway they can, which was well appreciated for someone who has never visited the cape before. We stayed in the Barnstable room and it was perfectly romantic and cozy. One of the most notable aspects of this house is the breakfast. D & B go above and beyond to give you the most delicious fuel to start your day of adventure or relaxation. 10/10 would recommend to everyone I know.

Donna and Bryon always provide a first class experience for their guests. The inn is absolutely lovely and clean. The location can't be beat, short walk to the beach. The breakfasts are the best you can have. Overall it is a perfect experience.
