Hotel in a convenient spot if you have a car. Beds are hard and have a plastic cover on the mattress which makes them hot. Our room wasn’t ready upon arrival at 4:30 pm. Breakfast good, dinner there not good. Bathroom is weird, no counter space. Would prob not stay here again.

great stay before long drive
This hotel was close enough to the ferry port at Caen without the hectic noise of a port. The ample parking was great. And the breakfast was enjoyed by all in our party of four. We stayed here after our late night ferry arrival. And a great choice rather than the long drive to destination

Good value for money. Located at a great point for travelling on down into Normandy and Brittany, so makes a good stop over. Did not try the restaurant, but looks reasonable (was too late arriving)... McDonald's next door was very convenient for a late bite :)

Nice hotel easy to find close to Caen
The hotel was fine till we tried to check out. We were told we had not paid for the rooms in front of other guest. Showed our email from you proving we had. Took 30 mins before they agreed we had. We wanted to make a good on our 200 mile journey. This spolt our stay at the hotel which we enjoyed

Honest, friendly and attentive
The service, from the reception staff to the room servicing staff were excellent. The rooms were warm, clean and well equipped. They were quiet and comfortable but the absence of tea and coffee making facilities were noticeable. The attached steak house was a nice distraction as the only other food in the immediate area was a fast food burger chain. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. There is a bar within the steak house but you have to return to the hotel reception to drink it. The reception staff will go and get drinks for you and add them to the room bill but this does take a while as they are very busy and new customers checking in take up their time. I would give the hotel and staff top marks but the lack of a kettle could improve a already excellent experience

Regarding the bar, we are depending on the activity at the reception, this could explain that you had to wait for a moment before getting your drinks. Be sure we try to provide the best service :) We are actually studying the settlement of some courtesy tray in the rooms, but this could take a while before it becomes reality, but thank you for that comment. All-in-all it was OK, the weather was cool for August so it took a few days to find the aircon was defective, so one night was hot, and with the windows open quite noisy with local traffic

An excellent overnight stay.
We used the Ibis hotel for an overnight stop having got off the late ferry at Ouisteram. While the room lacked character it was modern clean and had all the facilities that we required to catch a good nights sleep before travelling on. The buffet breakfast the next day was more than adequate, check-in and checkout were very efficient. Overall just what was required.

hotel was excellent. the attached restaurant was appalling. the service was the worst ever experienced in France. Training needed desperately . They have let there country down.

Beds are hard, but everything else is fine at this clean and tidy (and characterless - but what do you expect) Ibis on the Caen Ring-Road. Restaurant attached is a bonus.

Ontbijt was minimaal, er werd geen brood en vleeswaren, kaas enz bijgevuld, was regelmatig op, gasten moesten zelf om een boterham gaan vragen, aan de restaurant vloer plakte je vast, zo kleverig , wij waren er 5 dgn en geen een keer was de vloer schoon
