"Was impressed the minute we check into the hotel. Clean lobby, rooms, pool and fitness center. Loved the breakfast options! Staff were so nice and friendly! Thank you for a great stay!!"
"The staff is always friendly. The beds are comfortable. Nice pool and hot tub. The room seems clean but could use some updating. Housekeeping does what they are told to do but don’t expect extra toilet paper, towels or a full box of Kleenex. Also the shampoo and conditioner have never matched scents😏. The breakfast area is where this hotel needs help. Always have to ask for a towel to clean the table, regardless of sitting area. The food is a good basic hotel breakfast and the coffee is good and hot. Just be prepared to wait for the next pot. Hopefully they will hire a person to take care of the area. This trip we were on the 3rd floor and you could smell cooking and had to deal with a mom yelling at her son down the hall who just kept running and using his scooter inside. It seemed like they were living there. But with all that being said…every time I plan a trip to see family this is my choice of hotels in the area."
"Although my mom and I experienced no significant issues during our stay at Holiday Inn Convention Center in Stevens Point, we were a little surprised at the minimalism of housekeeping. They'd take used towels and replace with clean ones, but our beds were never "freshened up", like fluffing up the used pillows, tucking in of sheets, etc. We didn't expect a full laundering of bedding like in the old days, but we were a little surprised at the lack of basic bedding maintenance.
Overall, though, this is a fantastic property with courteous staff and an outstanding adjoining restaurant - Amber Grill. You won't be disappointed with this gem of a hotel in the Stevens Point area!"
"While this was our third stay at the Cobblestone Hotel, and we enjoyed it, we did have a couple of communication concerns that could have been better addressed by management.
•During our stay the parking lot directly behind the hotel filled up quickly and no spaces were available. There was a parking lot just beyond the hotel but most of the parking spaces were signed that parking was by permit only. The hotel staff could not tell us how to obtain a permit so that our car would not be ticketed or towed. That was stressful.
•There wasn’t information in the room stating where ice machines were located. We tried using the room phone to call the desk but kept getting a busy signal. Instead, we had to go down to the desk to find the ice machine location.
•The elevator was very slow."
"A well kept property. Breakfast were OK. Pool was great. Apartment was clean but slightly on the musty side. It seemed like the carpet in the unit we stayed at could use an upgrade. Beds were firm, but supported the back well.
The restaurant on the grounds called Par 5 Bistro was wonderful. Great prices and wonderful service. Food all tasted good.
Overall, a safe and wonderful stay in the Waupaca area."
"Fitness center and pool were usable but left a little to be desired, we skipped both during our stay, but someone may find them sufficient.
Beds were nice, true queens instead of full/doubles, which my husband appreciated."
"The sauna was a nice surprise and the pool and hot tub were both open (unlike those in many hotels). It's an older place but very well maintained and we were quite impressed. We'll definitely use it whenever we visit Steven's Point in the future."
"Hotel probably requires updating to this century but... the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were out dated as well but.. I didn't hear any body else in the hotel unless they were right outside the door. If all you require is a quiet place to sleep without worries of what you can not see for a reasonable rate, this place is exactly what you are looking for. Dont let it's general appearance fool you."
