Good Stay
A nice hotel with very nice staff. Good location for nearby towns but be prepared to walk up hill or steps if you dont drive.

Overnight in Breisach
The desk service people were excellent. The place is run down and needs some refreshing, but it was clean and comfortable. Considering the excellent price I got with booking.com and the location, I’d stay there again.

Hotel with swan view
The electronic sun shade in balcony is broken so hotel put an umbrella but can't shade as good as the normal shade. The room is aged even though show a sign of good maintenance. Have a good view over the river.

Worth a visit.
Great views over the Rhine and the dog was no problem for them. Local town small but loads to see. Very close to Colmar and Kaysersberg. Hotel was great but breakfast was a little expensive. Hotel close to local town which has lots of restaurants of all nationalities.

4-star Hotel in a Remote Location
The hotel is located at the top of a small hill and have several buildings. We were somewhat confused in finding our rooms which could only be reached after passing different passages and changing of elevators inside the hotel. We arrived in late evening and had difficulty in filling our stomachs because the hotel restaurant closed before 10pm and there were only bars for drink in the local area. The hotel restaurant had a terrace overlooking the Rhine River but there were not much to be seen. We selected this hotel for close proximity to our next destination to the old city of Basel. But we were a bit disappointed that it was quite time consuming in reaching this hotel through many small roads and streets even we were equipped with GPS navigation. Nevertheless, our room facing the Catholic Church was clean and quiet for a comfortable stay. There were sufficient free parking spaces around the hotel.

The hotel is in an excellent location and very clean. The staff were all helpful and friendly. My only suggestion would be that some tea/coffee making facilities could be put into the guest bedrooms and possibly a mini fridge or bar as there was no room service available and the bar does not appear to open on Sunday evening.

Private balcony overlooking the Rhine
Breisach is an interesting little town, definitely worth visiting. The hotel is located next to the cathedral on a hill above the town and is constructed so that the rooms have private balconies with a view of the Rhine. You cannot see your neighbors, just the view. I had a single room which was definitely small but very well designed I’ve had much larger rooms that were less comfortable.I liked the town and the hotel so much that I tried to rearrange my schedule to stay longer.Service, breakfast, and wi-fi were all terrific.

Shut it down and start over; this place is a joke!
From desk clerks overly concerned with their own safety ... she came to my replacement room with a hotel security goon lurking in the background, just to pick up the room key card from the first filthy room she had given me ... a totally unnecessary and insulting action from all aspects ... to broken lock chains on the doors, elevators that don't work, cleaning personel blind to the obvious, facilities in need of repairs, the list could go on and on. The building is an ugly modern structure in the midst of cobble stone streets and across from a Romanesque/Gothic cathedral, this hotel sticks out and not in a positive way. To get to the room on day one, it was necessary to descend three flights, walk down a long hallway lined with unused furniture to a second elevator, there to ascend three or more flights, depending upon the room number, to your room. Try doing that when one or both elevators are out of order! During the journey to your room, there is a view of the empty indoor pool and a filthy with cigarette butts place with broken furniture to lie out in the sun. How inviting! They should try vacuuming the halls and actually cleaning the bathroom floors! One last thing: if you decide to be out until after the reception desk is closed, supposedly your room card can be used to open the locked front door of the hotel. It doesn't work, so guests are forced to wander around the parking garage below the hotel, trying all the doors to find the magic one. What a dump!

A nice hotel with stunning views
The hotel was lovely in a picturesque setting and the staff were extremely friendly and provided an impressive level of customer service. The food was also delightful, the only drawback was the lack of Wifi in rooms although High Speed Internet Access was available for your laptop. All in all a nice hotel with lovely staff and food.

Nicest Hotel in area
Nice pool and sauna as well as beautiful location. Difficult roads to get up to the hotel (Castle) and parking is a little tricky... but worth it in Briesach.

Dieses Hotel hat eine wundervolle Lage, dass ist aber auch schon so ziemlich das einzig Bestechende. Die Zimmer sind runtergewohnt - 80ziger Standard. Alte Teppiche, alte Bäder und auch teilweise Schmutzecken (riesiger Vogelschiss an der Terrassenscheibe, Staubecken im Bad) Aussenanlage ziemlich verschmutzt und verwahrlost. Personal völlig desorientiert. Tischreservierung auf der Terrassse für ala Carte nicht möglich. Kommunikation schlecht. Terrassentür des Zimmers (Lage so das man einsteigen kann) nach ganztägigem Ausflug von Housekeeping offen gelassen. Schwimmbad geschlossen. Gästekarte für vergünstigte/gratis Eintritte nicht ausgehändigt. Der Einzige, der lobenswert zu erwähnen ist: Chef der Bar - kompetent und sehr nett. Positiv auch ein schhön dekorierter Geburtstagstisch und eine sehr aufmerksame Bedienung an diesem Morgen. Das Hotel ist in diesem Zustand nicht zu empfehlen.
