"The breakfast"

"The Best Western Park Hotel Madison was located close to the capital and UW Madison so very convenient. Overnight parking at the hotel was $30 so not bad (certainly not Chicago prices!) The inside of the hotel was a bit worn but clean. The room was nice. The bathroom was great but the bed was a bit lumpy with scratchy sheets that left you overly warm. If you are picky about beds, it's a deal-breaker. The staff was very welcoming and the complimentary coffee and snacks in the lobby were ready at 5am!"

"I arrived late… Clean room, great staff, lobby dark, room small, and parking terrible. You will really need to valet and they was expensive with an app that was less than friendly when most places give you a simple ticket. I like technology but they need a better way, fortunately, you can tell the lobby to pay. It was close to the main college strip so if that’s your goal and the above is OK for you, great. I had only one place to hang my towel and I couldn’t use it without it slipping off because the hook was partially detached from the wall"

"The front desk area, hallways and rooms were very clean and welcoming. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast selection and quality was average but presented well. My wife and I chose this hotel for its location being very close to a number of restaurants, the Capital and bicycle trails around Lake Monona and Lake Mendota. We knew in advance that parking might be an issue since there is no self parking and I had a large recumbent trike that I needed to unload from my SUV and get up to my room. I felt the exterior bike storage room that was accessible only from the outside and had large exterior windows, was not secure enough. Rather than self park far from the hotel, we chose the valet parking which worked out fine."
