Lovely b&b. Perfect in town location eat all of the restaurants, stores. Entry via Colonie restaurant downstairs. Lots of character with higgledy piggeldy flights of stairs leading up to our third floor room. Glad we had small suitcases to lug up. Elevator available for some rooms. Amazing breakfasts with plenty of choice. Staff were wonderful. Friday morning farmers market outside in the square.

Worth seeking out
Excellent location and value. Only two niggles (i) it would be nice if the radiators were switched on in the room before arrival in cold weather and (ii) internet access on the top floor is OK, but can be a bit flaky. But this is one of my favourite places to stay in the Netherlands

Lovely quaint hotel right in the heart of Breda
Firstly, what a great place to visit Breda is! We arrived as 10 cyclists and stayed in 5 double rooms. The hotel is in a fairly dated building in the heart of the town so is limited to the changes it can make but was clean, quaint, comfortable, in a brilliant location and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also substantial and varied. Happy to recommend and would happily stay again.

Great authentic city center hotel
Hotel is in a great location right downtown Breda. Lots of local residents enjoying the outdoor tables for food and drinks when the weather is nice. Parking is on a nearby public parking lot about 5-10 minutes walk. This is an old but very nicely kept hotel. There is a small elevator but most rooms can only be reached by narrow staircases

Excellent rooms and location, some frustrations
The rooms are a delight and the location wonderful. Downside: poor breakfast given overall ambiance, incredible steep stairs with no safety rail and no warning on web site, no offer of help with bags, no coffee making facilities in rooms. All small things but would still seek this out when in area again

Leuk hotel op een prachtige plek
Het is een leuk hotel op een prachtige plek. Het was zonnig toen we aankwamen en alle terasjes zaten vol. Heel gezellig! Wij hadden bankjes in onze kamer, waardoor we 's avonds ook nog met elkaar binnen konden zitten. Het enige wat heel goor was, was het touwtje van het badkamerlicht! Dat is al 50 jaar aan vervanging toe!

Best location in Breda
Centrally located in the city center of Breda the hotel offers a comfortable and cozy place. The hotel itself is quite old, the room is clean and comfortable but old as well. Breakfast is okay and the service is fast and friendly. WiFi connection is good

Nice hotel in an excellent location
I had a very comfortable stay. Friendly staff and excellent location. The bed was comfortable and the room nicely decorated, although perhaps in need of a few touch ups around the hotel, but nothing major. I would stay here again.

This isall I could fit,I won’t recommend or return
I am not someone who is difficult and if you read my other reviews I’m generally very happy with everything. Not so at the Stadhotel de Klok. It a hotel and restaurant the staff who handle reception are waitresses and obviously have very little if any training in what to do or how to welcome guests. 1) welcome not great, 2) check in more interested in getting the payment completed than anything else 3) we needed info on parking which I had enquires about by email before we arrived. The young woman was brusque and off hand no directions no map no help. Consequently we had a really stressful 40 mins driving around and still not being able to get to the parking. We ended up back where started 1km away (which was fine but a waste of two hours in total) and ended up being €10 euros per day rather than the €15 the hotel CP was charging, the hotel give you a card which gets 15% off €14 still 4 more and over three days would have doubled what we paid. Our parking in total €20. There’s a total rip off. Next! The room. I paid for a supieror room, it was nice and big and on the first floor which after reading other reviews I picked especially and paid the extra so we could get in and out easily with lots off shopping bags. However the curtains wouldn’t close both sets, the wall lights was broken and hanging off the wall, no tea and coffee making facilities not even extra glasses for a drink (only bathroom thimbles!!) and empty shower bottles from previous guests left in bathroom.

Quirky, interesting but not very practical
Firstly, this hotel is above a lovely restaurant and bar. Fantastic service and very helpful staff. The location is absolutey fantastic, in the heart of Breda surrounded by bars and restaurants It is an ideal location. However the hotel part wasn't a good experience for me. Everything is small and cramped. One tiny lift that doesn't actually access all the floors with bedrooms. The stairs are incredibly steep and not deep enough to put your whole foot comfortably so transporting suitcases and assisting a child is a nightmare (no one to help with the luggage). The room was very small and basic although the bed was comfy. The bathroom was very dated and the step up to get into it is a hazard. The bedroom carpet was so thin and naturally in a place this age, the floorboards are creaky. However, with a small child you are conscious that the people below can hear every footstep of heavy footed kids so you have to constantly remind them to walk quietly... Perhaps okay to say here as a couple but not recommended for a family

Great location cleanliness an issue
Great location at the heart of town, 15 min walk from station. Lots of restuarants as well as the one you walk through to get to reception. Quick check in and tiny lift to floor. But be aware depending on room there are still stairs and to my room 3 sets of steep stairs. Room was big and had a balcony with lovely view of the square and church. However cleaniness was an issue and sheets not changed overnight. No tea or coffee facilities. The side door you use if you are coming back in late is down a side alley and was very difficult to get in. Then you have to go upstairs to get to room. Bathroom ok.

Charming hotel in the centre of town
When you book a hotel like this, you don't expect a corporate experience that you get from one of the larger name brand hotels. You expect charm and comfort and convenience, which is what this hotel offers and delivers. I enjoyed my stay immensely and would recommend this to anyone visiting Breda for a weekend or even business.

Besök på BREWDA
Gammalt hotel på stora torget. Rummet ok men hårda sängar. Mycket ljud från torget rätt sent, nu var detta en lördag och det är kanske värre då. Fick rabatt på parkeringen som låg en bit bort (300m). Bra frukostbuffé.

I could stay here again
It's always a little strange checking in in the middle of a buzzling restaurant, and the reception area could do with a clean up, but that said I was pleasantly surprised by the room. It was quiet, clean and the bed was comfortable. So all in all I could stay here again.
