We didn't meet the housekeeper, they also worked very efficiently to get the room ready!), the room is renovated, there are TV channels in English (BBC, ITV, Channels 4 and 5), close proximity to the train station, refrigerator and free water, variety of light modes/options, mostly quiet, elevator/lift works, beautiful view. "This was a great place to stay. Spotless room, very helpful desk staff, and exceptional breakfast (included) in a lovely dining room. For those who have a car, parking is free. A small downside for those with arthritis in their hands: the soap is liquid in plastic bottles that are very difficult to squeeze. You might want to bring your own bar soap."

"We usually stay here for a week over Christmas every year. To be honest, the spa facilities and the hotel itself are not bad at all however we have had a few issues over recent stays. Namely a billing issue between the hotel and Expedia itself which took an entire afternoon of our visit to resolve. I would recommend that the newer side of the hotel is the nicer one for rooms. The food is nice, the bar area is lovely. Half board is usually on offer for a stay, which includes a multi-course evening meal. All in all, it’s a reliably good hotel."
