Bowmore distillery Islay is a whisky connoisseur's heaven, particularly for those who like peaty single malts. The distillery at Bowmore was founded in 1779 and is one of eight on the island.
Shoreline north of central Bog Mor This is chiefly a residential area of single family homes on the northern shoreline of Bogh Mor; the waters are those of Loch Indaal.
