This was an extremely affordable place to suit our last-minute decision to stay in Koshigoe. The room was great, everything was pretty basic but for the price we paid it was more than enough. The owners were wonderful despite our very limited Japanese and even gifted us some postcards on departure! We were able to leave our bags on the day of checkout and explore the area before heading onto our next destination.

A great Kamakura base, right across from the beach. A mixture of ryokan charm and modern Japanese comfort. It is conveniently situated, just a 25-minute walk from Kamakura Station. There is a lovely cafe next door, with information available in the accommodation. The host is very friendly and helpful. The accommodation itself is lovely, featuring two comfortable single beds, an armchair, a mini-fridge, and a spa bathtub. There is a narrow staircase to enter, but this just adds to its charm....

Excellent all round. Friendly welcome, helpful hosts, close of station shops and restaurants, clean and tranquil tradition ryokan . Thank you

Great accommodation based in the heart of the older part of Tokyo, a few minutes walk away from Senso-ji temple (well worth a visit). Markets close by, but they shut early so no noise in the evenings. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby including those open until late. Fantastic transport links - near to the underground station (worth getting a suica card (similar to oyster)). Nice room and had fun sleeping on the futons (actually quite comfortable!) Enjoyed spending time in the private onset -...

Bushi was a fantastic host, such a unique experience. Amazing breakfast and a great chat

I liked the location. It was very convenient. The train station was nearby. Food outlets were convenient. Chinatown was amazing. I found the staircase steep. The inconvenience for us was the lack of an elevator. We had heavy luggage and found it hard to bring it up the stairs.

A great hotel, ideally situated for easy access for the underground and trains. One of the best we stayed in during a 3 week visit to Japan. Like most Japanese hotels, the bedrooms are small but opt for a twin room for so much more space.

Great location and easy check in. Everything was perfect minus the weird smell of bathroom (perhaps cleaned with old rags). The beds were comfortable and there was just enough space. Really enjoyed this stay

i have stayed here several times and its always a pleasure. since my last stay the heating systems have been updated, so its just as pleasent winter as in summer. satoshi who runs it is very accomodating, and has excellent local knowledge. it is a very old building, so that is reflected in state of it, but its very comfortable, and a very reasonably priced way to stay in a tradional ryokan in a great neighbourhood
